I went to the sleep clinic doctor because my chief complaint was persistent nightmares of past military conflict, waking me up in the middle of the night.

I told her I needed something to sleep better, that I routinely got 4 hours of sleep a night, nightmares, etc, tired all day.

She told me we needed to do a sleep study, over an 8 hour period.

I said fine, I'll come in, in the morning, for 4 hours.

She told me no, work my sleep schedule around, the clinic is only open at night. Come in at 6 PM or so, and so that I can get a full night's sleep until 2 AM/ so that they can study that data, over an 8 hour period..

I told her, okay, look I am here because my problem is I can't sleep. If I can set it up where it is what you are saying, I'm getting a full night's sleep, and thus my problem is solved.

She says, "oh, okay then, since your problem is solved, you don't need to see me then."

I told her to return to her country of origin, she'd likely make millions there, as she was so effective in her cures, just by talking to me. Since her native language was not English, she smiled at me.

I returned home, irritated that the state of health care in the US is not as good as it could be. Now I just take up the 4 hours sleeping, and the other 4 hours, I answer questions here.

I'm 8 months pregnant and I feel really horrible with cold like symptoms and a bad cough. the doctor was not believing me when i had told him i didn't feel right he just thought I was being whiny. Telling me that a good nights rest would help! he ordered a chest xray after i insisted something else was wrong. It turned out I had pneumonia he admitted me almost immediately and i was in the hospital for 3 days. He was much nicer to me then!

I was having an appendix attack and the doctor told me I had a kidney stone and next thing I knew he started jabbing me in my side and said he was going to try to knock it loose. I grabbed him by the front of his shirt and told him touch me again and I will rip him in two. Called him a quack doctor and demaded they get a doctor in there that knows his head from his ***. To this day when that quack doctor sees me, he pretends he doesn't and hurries the other way. I dare him to say something to me.

A door slamed on my arm.I went to the doctor,in alot of pain! The doctor said it might be broken,we'll have to get xrays. But I won't put it in a cast or anything. So I have this bump on my right arm where the bone healed on it's own.I bought a sling, cause he wasn't going to "do"anything for my arm.He is no-longer a doctor!Other people had problems with him also!

This female doctor was giving me a physical. Well, she put two fingers on my testes and told me to cough. Then she said to me, "Oh my, is that a hotdog without buns for my lunch or are you just happy to see me?"

A doctor told me that the pain in my knee was "Perception" basically he was telling me that the pain in my knee was all in my head. So I didn't pay the bill, because I perceived his diagnosis to be 'free of charge".

Told me too much wine, women & song was making me feel down. Suggested I cut back.
6 months later still felt lowsy, went back to the Doctor.
He was puzzled, asked me if I followed his advice, I said "Yeah, I've stopped singing".

After about 20 hours in labour, a male (!) doctor says to me: "You still have strength in you, you can go a little longer."
