Christ preached of love forgiveness and Charity. He said love thy enemy. He said turn the other cheek.
The right wingers always jump out and say he wasn't liberal because he was against abortion, and gay marriage. Well I have read the Bible(I don't just thump on its cover) And I can not find one single reference to Jesus discussing any of these topics. But in the book of Mathew 6 through 8 you will find His standing on religious hypocrasy, and charity and wealth.

The answer is simple... right-wing republicans are, for the most part, some of the most arrogant and obnoxious hypocrites you'll ever come across. Of course this could be said of not just republicans, but of most politicians in general. The republicans, however, seem to take hypocrisy to levels that almost defy belief. One of my favorites was how Henry Hyde repeatedly denounced the character and morals of Bill Clinton during the whole Monica scandal. Shortly after, it came out that Hyde had an affair himself a number of years before. If you live in a glass house... don't throw stones... as the saying goes. I just used that as one small example. I won't use examples from the last 6 years because the list would be never-ending.
You basically can't take the things that almost any politicians say too seriously. However, the republicans especially seem to love to preach from their soap boxes while their actions do very little to reflect the moral fortitude they claim to have.

I have read those chapters in Matthew also, and note Jesus' standing on those subjects. I do not know where you get the idea that ALL right wingers ALWAYS jump out and say . . . Why don't people like you note that Christians are not all the same? Answer to your question is that Christians do not have a core belief against Christ's beliefs, to the contrary! Why don't you understand that there are Christians every day giving their lives for others in this world, whether they are heros in our country performing above and beyond their duty, and others are in foreign countries showing love to the unloved and unfortunate with little to no compensation for their acts. Think beyond your normal sphere of understanding and you will get it!

Christ said he was no part of this world! He would not have been concerned about being a Democrat or Republican! Neither of these corrupt political parties represent our Lord! His kingdom will rule the nations one day soon! This just proves that mankind is not able to rule himself without God! What has man done to himself in the history of self rule? He has brought terrible wars and destruction on himself! This is why we need our Lord to return and make things right! Mankind is ruining the earth! Jesus will restore mankind and heal the misery we have brought on ourselves by not following God! That is why we pray the prayer to "Let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven." The governments of the world cannot do this......only Jesus can and will!

Jesus doesn't just save he sells and that's one thing the Repubs like about him. They see dollars to to be made just look at how much crap is marketed to religious nuts.

Well if Jesus actually talks about it, you can't make stuff up. Abortion and gay sex are much easier to "deal with" than stuff like war and poverty and stuff.

I think it has to do with eating to much of that Sunday Fried Chicken they consume after church. High cholestrol levels has blocked the flow of blood to their brains.

because they have nothing good to do, or say , so they make themselves believe that they are christians and that will make up for all the evil crap they make man kind face every day!
