The past two days theres been this random little spot on my top of my scalp that hurts if I press it or if my hair brush touches it when I brush my hair, but besides that it doesn't hurt. could it be a cyst or a pimple or something more?

Yes to both possibilities. It could also be an infected hair follicle or an ingrown hair. You can get a pimple or cyst anywhere you have skin, and an infected follicle or ingrown hair anywhere hair grows on the body. You treat it all the same, regardless of where it is located. Keep the area clean, apply heat as you can, and leave it in peace. The body will take care of it all on its own, without assistance from you. Eventually it will drain and heal all on it's own. It could also be a bite of some sort- but again, unless you have some other problem, like a fever or generalized illness, it is nothing to be alarmed about. Just a zit in an odd spot, more than likely.
