I am about to go on a long train trip. I am going to use amtrak.
are people allowed to carry their laptop computers in the train??

Yes, in fact, most Amtrak trains have power receptables at each seat you can plug into. Don't expect to get consistent internet access though, even if you link with your cell phone.

I take Amtrak all the time, and you are 100% definitley allowed to have a laptop.

Yep deffinately AMTRAK is the only way to travel they have places next to each seat to plug in your laptop. Have fun
