Honda City.............No Doubt about it.
Honda means Quality....Cutting Edge Technology....Reliability.......Strict Quality control.....Low maintenance. They run for ever.
I'm from Canada. Moved here from India couple of years ago.
Honda is #1 here. Best resale value. People have cars that have done 400000+kms and are still running like new.And new ones are even Better.
Chevrolet Aveo Is a Car developed By Korean company Daewoo Who made Matiz. Chevrolet has no good reputation in North America.
Ford's somewhat technology like transmission etc comes from MAZDA Japan. Ford has a share in Mazda. Donno anything about Fiesta Though. Ikon was there. Actually their whole line up in europe and rest of the world is different from what they have in America & Canada.But their resale is bad here like all american cars.
Same is with Hyundai.
Toyota is good. Mazda is good. Nissan is good But in SUV's.
No one buys Mitsubishi, Suzuki either.

The verna XXi is the most powerful of the lot and has the second best internal room, but has pathetic boot space. The honda city VTEC has the best overall design, but it too expensive for what you get.
The 1.4L motors on the Ford and Chevy cannot be compared in terms of power with the VTEC Honda and the Verna XXi. The 1.6L aveo is fun to drive too and I think is the best looking as well.

Honda city is the best chioce overall as i bought it six months ago ,its the best value for money cause it not only gives u a good average but is an awesome car to drive , also it has great resale value , only car i would care to compare with it would be the fiesta for its avg, but if u test drive both of them u wouldnt want a fiesta when u can have a honda for that much money.

For such low miles Diesel is not justified and will not work out. Go for the Petrol. Its true that petrol prices are soaring but for 10-15 kms a day petrol will not hinder much. If your traveling more than 50 kms a day Diesel makes a perfect sense.There is a small math involving the premium price of a diesel car, the ownership cost and lot many other factors. Make sense!!!

dude go for verna any day....cheap and awesome car.. u can not go wrong with it. if u can wait u can go in for skoda's new hatchback called fabia
