No, Baptism is not what saves you. Accepting Jesus as your Savior is what saves you. Baptism is a public confirmation that you have accepted Jesus in your heart and that you are committing your life to Him.

No. Salvation is at the same time as your coronary heart is awoke and also you comprehend your want of a Savior - you've a change of coronary heart. Baptism comes after, and on condition that you're making the alternative to be baptised. i have not been baptised by technique of finished immersion on the grounds that i become saved 15 almost 16 yrs in the past - I actually were baptised contained in the call of the daddy, Son, and Holy Ghost/Spirit. I had some human beings pressuring me to get baptised in my community swimming pool and it merely placed me off. My salvation is protect and that is what concerns to me. some ppl say that is a command - i trust that's own between God and the guy in question. our lord god is attracted to our hearts.. i'm non-denominational and area of the body of Christ. reward : )

I don't remember the Bible saying you have to be baptised to be considered saved, but I know it says that you must accept Jesus Christ into your heart to be born again. I think being Baptised usually comes from being saved. You are being born again and emerging from the water into your new life. I hope this helps.

The thief on the cross couldn't be baptised with water cuz of his situation, but Jesus said, "today you will be with me in paradise." He was baptised by the Holy Spirit thru his confession. Jesus knew His situation & that he couldn't fullfill the ritual. It's between you & God, He knows your situation & your heart.

The Bible does not teach automatic salvation as some claim.
For example Matt.24:13 tells us that:"He that ENDURES to the END will be saved." and
John3:36 states:"He that exercises faith in the Son,has everlasting life,he that disobeys the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains upon him."
So not only does the Bible not teach automatic salvation,it shows that we need to exert ourselves. We need to exercise our faith.Js.2:26 states:"...so also faith without works is dead."Baptism is only a public declaration of faith.Though it is needed for salvation. It is not a guarantee of salvation.

One of the two thieves who were crucified with Jesus was saved, but never baptized. We Christians get baptized as a sign of obedience and confession to the world that we are followers of Christ, but baptism does not save us.

Jesus said baptism was necessary for salvation.

Take anybody else's word for it but his, and you take a very serious risk with your own eternal destiny.

And even the baptized are capable of squandering and losing the gift of salvation, so they must continue to hope and struggle right up until judgment day.

Don't take any chances with your soul.

Yes you are saved even though you are not baptized if you are talking about being a born again Christian. If so we are supposed to get baptized, which I plan to do soon, but if we were to die before we get baptized we are still saved. I was baptized as a catholic, but I have rebuked that religion and will be baptized again as though the first one never happened, as I did not choose to be baptized catholic.

Mar 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

if this verse is carefully examined you'll see that one should be baptized but baptism is not the thing wich determines your salvation it is the belief. he that believeth not shall be damned. church of christ love to use the first part of this verse to justify their salvation by baptism belief however they get ticked when i finish the verse
