I dont honestly feel like doing any of it. All I want to do most of the time is eat sleep and watch T.V. Why am I so lazy? Maybe Im just not motivated?

Read your question and ask yourself where you've heard all this before. Then ask yourself what you could possibly do that would allow you to feel you did enough. I suspect if you worked at maximum productivity for every second of every minute of every hour of every day you would STILL feel like you aren't doing enough.

If you think about it you know why you feel you must work constantly or you're "not good enough" and you know who you learned that from. The reason you honestly don't "feel like doing any of it any more" is that you're doing what you've been programmed by someone else to do instead of what your heart knows you truly desire to do.

Most people have been brainwashed into thinking they're not good enough and have to earn the right to breathe. Well, guess what? You were BORN good enough and even if you didn't DO anything at all you still deserve unconditional love from yourself.

We are human BEINGS not human doings. Be still and listen to the thoughts in your head. Eliminate every negative thought and criticism. Replace them with positive thoughts. Put an end to your constant judgments of yourself and others.

Lay down the weight of the world that you've been carrying. No wonder all you want to do is eat, sleep, and watch T.V. Your family, friends, co-workers will all help as soon as you let them provided you don't criticize and judge them when they do it "different" than you would.

Sit down with your family and decide what is REALLY important. (Hint: no one every said "I wish I had worked more" on their death-bed or over the body of the loved ones they neglected because they were too busy doing what they're "supposed" to do.)

Then stop doing anything that is NOT important. Give the gift of yourself - your time - the very most valuable gift you can give - to yourself, your children, and your wife.

It is nice to hear someone taking care of their responsibilities. Sounds like you might be working too many hours and are too tired to do anything other than the eating, sleeping or watching TV. Think about getting a job that is more motiving to you with less hours. Working smart is better than working hard.

Nah. You're doing just fine. Actually, I think you should probably relax a little. Not like a week's-worth at once, but y'know.

Humans are naturally lazy. A lot of the people I see are too lazy to do the simplist of things like go flip a switch. (*sigh* our growing generation...) Plus with more inventions coming up, more things are taken care of and we relax more, therefore making our laziness grow.

I think it's natural. In nature, many predators are 'lazy' in the way they hunt their food but after they're done hunting, they sleep and rest a lot to conserve energy. This makes sense because, unlike grazing animals who usually have grass, leaves, seeds etc available, for a predator it's far less certain the next hunt will be succesful. We humans learned to store food, to both grow and breed our own, and we're now left with a certain food store (in most countries), while we have lots of time left over. We also have created many other needs & likes by coming up with entertainment, family values, large properties that need to be kept, etc, etc. But somewhere deep inside we still have that same urge that when we're filled up, we rest & save our energy for the next hunt....

I feel like that when I have a lot on my plate and waste my spare time watching dumb TV shows. Sometimes I find that just laying down somewhere quiet by yourself for 10-30 minutes really energized me and makes me feel more motivated to do things I need to.

You are not lazy, you obviously do a lot so to counter that you need some good relaxation time. Don't feel guilty about sitting down for a while and putting your feet up.

You're not lazy, you need a break! Take a weekend to sit, veg out in front of the TV, and do absolutely nothing. It'll feel great, and you deserve it.
