well first thing i have to say some people i know of are like that but aren't Irish. i think it may just be a minority of people in every genetic trait that are mean spirited that or develop like that after a while as some people do with age, and unfortunately the Irish American ones seem to be stuck with you, sorry. if that's not the reason i'm not sure what else it could be
