I believe it doesn't exist at all, but is a state of mind. The "afterlife" is simply the consciousness separated from the body, and only lasts until we choose to take physical form again.

I believe the Biblical story about Jesus being God made flesh was allegorical. We won't find God in religious fairy tales. We ARE God.

As a Muslim, I strongly do believe that Heaven does exist. Let's take it this way, just a simple way using our mind and brain. God created us and gave us all this universe to enjoy and use, and then what ? Do we just disappear? and as if nothing happened? Impossible, just not logic. I strongly believe that this life is for us to enjoy and be good or bad, as we choose to be, to obey God's instructions and follow His messengers, be good to all other creatures and specially to human. We will be asked what we had and what we did and according to that we will go to the Heaven or the Hill. There is no doubt about that..!

The spiritual 'intelligence/consciousness' is a rather complex in its simplicity... dimensions I factor are 4 reaching to 5... but that is just measured with my rod of the Qabalah.
