No, no, no!! One day, Jesus was bored and asked his dad for a new kind of toy. His dad, remembering little Jesus playing with his snots and how completely engrossed he had been with them, thought that he should try to find something round. He made little Jesus a whole bunch of little balls to play with and, well, you know the rest....

Through the Big Bang. The Super-string theory indicates that the Universe was, in fact, the size of a pinhead. After so much gravity and pressure, it was blown up, and began to spread. The black hole that contained the universe was not powerful enough to contain the explosion, and collapsed on itself.
Now, with all of the matter escaping from the central point, there were other things involved too. Gravitons began increasing their power from that which was already rotating, and formed the cores of the planets and stars and everything else.
Now, seeing as this happened a few billion years ago, and the first written book is only 2000 years, and within the last 700 years we began making serious scientific advances to see the largest celestial bodies all the way down to protons, neutrons and electrons, and their quarks, and their strings, i fail to see how something that no one has ever seen could have made everything from nothing in 6 days.

I think that God created matter, and the Holy Spirit formed that matter in to earth. I also believe that science is meant to tell us how God created everything. I believe that the big bang took place, and that God caused the big bang.

The second law of thermodynamics is based on a closed system........the earth is NOT a closed system.
Energy from Sol (the Sun).
Meteorites, asteroids and comets bringing new elements....
more if needed (I am too lazy to list it over and over and over and over again).
My opinion? It is okay to admit you don't know without making up an invisible man that lives in the sky to explain it all. It will all be explained scientifically, just give the human race a little time. Modern man has been around for 100,000 years..... the scientific method has only been around for 600 years (estimate)......give us a chance!

Depends on who you talk to. Aside from the scientific explanation, there are something like a thousand religious explanations for the "creation" of the world.
So, I have a proposal for the bible thumpers: We'll agree to include your version of "creation" in the classroom, provided we are allowed to require that ALL other religion-based creation stories are taught also. Why should your bible gods get all the credit? That's only fair. It might take a couple of extra years of schooling to make sure all the kids know all the creation stories, but hey, it's worth it, right? Why waste time teaching proper English? Or *gasp* science?

I believe God created everything. I believe He put the laws of science into motion and, eventually, there was a universe, including our earth. I believe He created life in it's earliest form and allowed it to evolve into what it is today. Except for man. I believe He created man as a separate entity.

Infinitely old? We know the earth's age. It's not infinite.
The second law of thermodynamics applies only to CLOSED SYSTEMS, and anyway your phrasing is a very, very informal one. And when you mix the big bang, creation of the earth, and evolution... sigh.

It was a hot piece of clustered metals formed from a supernova or similar design from a decayed star. It was highly magnetic and attracted particals to it... it rolled around the sun and grew in size... it continues to grow.
