My mother does...is this normal? She has diabetes and is 50 years old. Can it be menopause?

This could be nothing, but it may also be the sign of something serious. She needs to talk to her doctor. Also document any other symptoms that accompany the headache such as nausea, vomiting, weight loss, etc.

She needs to see a doctor. The fact, that her headache wakes her up always around the same time, could be a psychological problem, but also caused by her menopause ( hormonally ) ..... or maybe both.
