It teaches students/hobbyists the basics of robotics from parts to programming to control logic. It also familiarizes students/hobbyists regarding the importance of efficiency of machines and programs that could contribute to a better functioning robot.
All these learning are achieved in a "fun" way through what we call sumo bots

Sumo robots are primarily used in competition for games in vegas. They are fun for learning... but the main application is for entertainment. I suggest you check out their website. They have a lot of useful information and applications including photos and videos!
