Why.. because alot of the ones being disrespectful are mostly kids and they are just wanting attention. The some adult ones too are wanting the attention. The other adults are just so closed minded.They only believe thier religion is the only and right religion. And as long as Mother Earth carries people on her... There will always be people who disrespects others beliefs.. And thats because were human.

It's because beliefs are based on feelings- and people are very passionate about their beliefs.
Also, most people feel respect must be earned. So if a belief system is very different from their own, they will speak disparagingly of it.
For example, I believe in freedom of choice, freedom of thought, freedom of expression. So I will point out a lot of flaws in Islam, a religion that is inherently fascist by design. Now I don't have a problem with fascism as long as all people involved are willing participants. Unfortunately, this is not how fascism works. In my opinion it is coercive and evil. Therefore someone may say that I am being "disrespectful" of someone else's beliefs-- HOWEVER, I will only "disrespect" a religion that is not worthy of my respect.
Any ideology that threatens my own freedom is fair game for me to ridicule.

Each group would want the other to join their camp. The other camp reasons out and there goes the endless exchange of "if you only know this blah blah blah....."
l'm a Catholic. lt would be nice to see more people believe in God if l may say so, but l'm not the type to force anyone into it. God gave us freewill, so l have no right to decide for them.
We have to accept that each one of us is different and respect is needed to live harmoniously.

I am new to this. I have not seen or read anything that is disrespectful, however we do need to be tolerant. We need to leave pretty and dainty footprints on each others hearts, not big, giant hurtful stompings. I respect you whatever you believe. I think people are searching for power and they feel that everybody must clone themselves to suit them. It's selfish and uncalled for

Gotta agree with the above poster. It's not like it's face to face. It's easier to be an a** on the computer with no repercussions. Plus, that's just the way people are. It's not live and let live. It's live and try to makes others feel stupid so you feel smart.

Beacuse people are stuborn and think that shoving there veiw and slamming others is truly showing there belifes in the right light that will make people want to drop there religion and follow another.
Not saying that other religions arnt false, I try to show the TRUTH in love (try, sorry if I dont come off that way at times truly, I am only human and I try not to do that) its just that people shove points so hard and slam others points of veiw that it causes alot of strife.

There is a battle for the undecided. I personally think religion is brainwashing and I want others to know that they have a choice in what they choose to believe and to know that there are others who may feel the same.

Disrespect has its place...
Would have respect for the mind that "believes" up is down... blue is green... or that the dead are able to continue living?
That which is ridiculous deserves its disrespect and those who persistently drape themselves in the robes of stupidity ought to be prepared for the ridicule they bring upon themselves by failing to learn from their mistakes.
