Hi! I'm concerned about this issue and contemplating ways to successfully make these critical leaps toward more sustainable and safe ways of existing for our future well-being, and am curious if others out there are concerned about this issue as well...thanks!!

It's not the companies it is you (me, we) the consumer that is the problem. If we stop consuming and in course paying for said Product or Service the company will cease to exist. The company is just the middle man. Demand causes supply!

so there is only two ways to this goal.

1 remove the resource(s) (or access to) hence unable to supply
or
2 remove demand for products and/or services.

The first answer you recieved was quite interesting to me and held some truth, concerning the fact that the companies are only doing it to answer the demand of the consumers... However the idea that we should stop consuming was just pure nonsense. we are a species that uses everything we can the trick is to reuse what we use in the first place. YOu asked what we can do... My answer is RECYCLE!
