Christianity should be about love in action. Beliefs in truth should spur one on to want to help by reaching out to others. Unfortunately, some so-called Christians are not peaceloving nor are they based in the right understanding of the truth. To be concerned outside of yourself is very important but so is the ways of implementing that truth. Some individuals are not educated but even misinformed by lack of personal study or by mislaid teachers and yes, even some preachers. The best way to remain constant in the truth is through your own personal prayer and enrichment of the Word. Only then can you know if the teachers and preachers you hear are accurate. To be grounded is the essential difference as I see it. To have ones head in the sand is not being a real Christian. To be confident in what you believe is important. There is always the danger of thinking you have all the answers (hypocrisy) which unfortunately is how many the Sadducces and Pharisees were even in Jesus's
day. One should continually seek the Scriptures and renew ones mind continually. To be involved in love, peace and action of the true Truth is the true measure of Christianity. There is no fear in true truth but freedom

Real Christians are Peace Lovers but when religion gets involved they become activists.
Churches bring out the political side of Christians just as other religions do. It is not what we believe in but it is how people transform beliefs.
I believe the bible teaches us that Christ showed his values of Peace and understanding at "The Last Supper" everyone that was there was imperfect is some way.

Have you ever actually studied the life of Christ? He was a very controversial character to say the least! He dared go up against the Jewish Priests & called them sephulchers. He turned over the money-changers tables in the temple. He went to the lepars who had been cast out of the city & healed them. He associated with tax collectors & forgave adulterous women rather than have them stoned to death - just to name a few. He was most definitely an ACTIVIST. Since we are called to be Christlike I would assume that if we rock a few boats we are on the right path.

How is being active contrasting with peace? As long as you're (not you personally) not bombing abortion clinics or capping those who don't believe in Christ, I call that pretty peaceful. The ones that are self righteous and force their views on you aren't Christians anyway. Nowhere does the bible say you have to harp on someone to get them to think like you. That usually makes people run. I know I run when I get around a person like that.

Activism isn't against peace. Have you ever heard of a 'peace activist"? It just means getting involved in causes, peaceful causes. One does not have to fight and get arrested to be a protester.

Did you not read the Bible that Jesus said He came not to bring peace, and he would cause mother-in-laws to argue with daughther-in-laws, mothers, with daughters, fathers and sons.............. Anyway, a true Christian listens to what God wants them to do, whether to be a peace lover or an activist.

Beacuse my God suports wars. Just right ones.
Just look at the O.T.
Im a worior for Christ.
Satans out for my blood.
Im not going to sit around.
Im going to fight for myself, and as many other as I can.
Just beacuse ive never goten in a fight even when Ive been spit on and jumped in the past, dosent mean that im a pasifist. It just means I show love even when people hate me. But in a war context I suport Bush beacuse hes protecting not only ourselves but Isriel as well and Gods behind him on that, so am I.

To love peace and do nothing to uphold it is to help the warmongers. To be an activist for peace is to follow the teachings in the bible.
FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD!

A "real" Christian is a follower of Jesus Christ.
The denominations like to fight over the definition, but that's what "Christian" means.
