I remember getting them as a child and I always ended up throwing them away because other than make funny faces I couldn't do anything else with it.
Don't you think it's weird to give wax to children anyway, let alone to eat?

YOU JUST BIT'EM AND CHEW'EM LIKE GUM! THEY HAVE A YUMMY SORT OF MILD CINNAMON FLAVOUR TO THEM! I LOVED THEM! HOWEVER, LOOKING BACK,"YES" I DO THINK IT'S WEIRD GIVING WAX TO A CHILD -ESPECIALLY TO EAT!!! WHAT THE HELL WERE WE THINKING???

There were other confections made of wax as well. I recall tongues (hollow, and you'd put them on your own, making it appear extra long!), wacky teeth, and a few others. The wax was actually non-toxic, and any swallowed would simply pass through the system without harm. Maybe it really didn't, but that was the accepted belief. Oh, yeah, there was also play lipstick made of the same kind of wax. (Not the candy. That was something else.)

wax is incredibly easy for the body to digest, so much so that it is used in making chocolate and numerous confections. do you think twice before biting into a piece of honeycomb? with that said, when i was like 7 i threw up waxed lips out of my parents car window at like 45mph.

neve did eat em...i tried em tho and they tasted like wax... a wierd taste! So i wasnt ever too interested in eating them...just wore em.

you chew it like gum. you dont swallow it. i love it. its hard to find now days. sometimes its available at halloween.
