Installing windows?

ok a friend of mine put linux on my pc well i got the install disk for windows and it will reinstall it here for this pc but it wont work for the lynix do i have to be on my desktop to install it for lynix or do i load it in bootup please help

u will be able to reinstall win only by installing win during bootup................format the entire disk

which version of windows?

If it's xp, pop the cd in and restart the computer.

Older versions usually require a start up disk (usually on floppies)
