Hi there.

The method below can be used by Adobe Photoshop, Corel Photopaint, or Paintshop Pro or any other applications, not like M$ paint etc.

What I do when i have do that is create a selection around the part you want the colour preserved (in this case, the lips), copy or cut it out (to another new image, or just into clipboard temporarly), convert the rest of the image to B&W (Decrease Color Depth to 2 colors, 1 bit), then once that's done, increase Color Depth back to 16million colors (otherwise when you repaste that color selection back in, you'll lose your colors as you're new picture format is now B&W), and repaste that selection you cut out earlier back into that empty spot where it's supposed to be.

I'm sure there's other ways of doing it, but that's what I do, and know of
