It doesnt really matter. Shes your ex and you have no obligations to her. I dont think you should even bother telling her. If you do, it could hurt your current relationship cuz she might think that you still have feelings for your ex if your going out of your way to break the news to her that your dating someone else. Shes your ex for a reason, leave it in the past and move on with your current relationship.

Well she is your ex... you do not need to explain anything to her..things between you and her finished..and the two of you have to move on..you obviously have..and if she still hasnt then thats her choice..unless you broke up with her and was going out with someone else the next day..that would like you were up to something while you were with her..but still wouldnt need to explain because it is over.
If she happens to ask you for an explanation..its up to you what you want to tell her, but dont go up to her and tell her you got a new girl.

You said 'ex'. If she continues to be your friend even though you aren't dating her, do tell her in conversation. As you ask her how things are going on with her, tell her that you are taking out someone. Don't make a big deal of it or look nervous, just make it part of the conversation and move on to asking about movies or other very casual things about school and such.

you dont have to say anything at all man. you broke up and you had your reasons. u have a right to begin a life and so does she. if the reasons why things ended werent bad and it was just mutual understandings but you still loved each other then you should say something if things were horrible forget about her and go on man. i had that same problem and SHE was the one that started things with another guy so dont be sorry just be happy

You don't need to tell your ex. You still miss your ex and want her back. Doing that will make her think you're just bluffing. If you really like her, don't go with anyone else just yet.

You don't.
You probably mean it to be sensitive, but it will come off as obnoxious. How would you feel if your ex came up to you out of the blue talking about their new relationship? Especially if you hadn't found someone new yet? It sounds like you're gloating.

I think if you feel that you want her to know then you could casually ask her in passing if she's doing well and if she's seeing anyone. If she's interested in knowing your status then she'll probably ask you in return. You don't want to blurt out "Guess what? I'm dating someone!!" because that sounds very desperate. But remember you guys broke up so you aren't obligated to fill her in on your personal life.

Why do u have to tell her? She doesnt have u anymore so u dont have to tell her anything, u might just hurt her if u tell her anyway cause she might feel like ur rubbing it in that u have moved on, just keep ya mouth shut about it.

I wouldn't even bother telling her. Let her find out for herself. Your relationship is over and you don't owe her a single thing. You are moving on with your life just the way you are supposed to do.

What the hell! Go cold turkey and let her know. Just this... don't reveal ANY details. Just tell her she'll know when is time. oh, and tell her it's fair to move on.
