How can I do this? I know wake up early. She gets up at 6:15-6:30am. But if i sleep in, can I break it up during the day and still get the results? 5-10 of the video? I remember the steps, so I would do this by memory. Or should I just get up early?

MY DAUGHTER IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IN MY LIFE.I THINK OF HER 24/7. I SPEND LOTS OF TIME WITH HER. I WANT TO BE A HEALTHIER MOM, SO I NEED JUST 30 MIN A DAY TO DO THIS. I AM NOT MAKING IT MORE IMPORTANT THAN HER.I AM DOING THIS FOR HER, AND MYSELF. IF YOU ARE A PARENT YOU KNOW WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT.

OUR WEATHER IS COLD AND WINDY, SO NO SRTOLLER WALKING RIGHT NOW. WE DO HAVE TWO STROLLERS. I USED TO BUT THE WEATHER IS BAD, AND OUR ALLERGIES KICK UP. WE ARE PLANNING FOR MORE WALKS WHEN IT WARMS A LITTLE.

I have read so many times that if you break it up during the day it is just as good. Here is another idea. You dont have to do that video. Why dont you drop to the floor and do sets of pushups, situps, lunges and squats? these excercises work miracles. and you can definetly break this up throughout the day. How about find a nieghbor and go for a daily walk. Or you and the baby and a stroller go to the mall or the park and walk, Most gyms have a daycare center, you can see how she does in there.

Hi there!
You asked some good questions, and sound a bit frustrated.. and that is understandable!
first off, it really doesn't matter WHAT kind of exercise you do, just so long as you do it! That might mean pushing the kid in a stroller while you do a 2 mile hike (weather permitting), or a jogging stroller.. or ever ride a bike to the shopping center.. they have side racks etc. for your stuff, and a trailer for the kid! So, that is a way of adjusting what you do to what you have to do, ie the kid.

Now the other option assumes you are pretty stuck on doing this solo without a bother..we all need time alone! so for that I suggest you be patient, watch supernanny and those other shows, get a few books on how to train behavior, and wait. Your 2.5 yr old will soon be 3, and what was hard to arrange at 2.5 might well not be at 3. she will be better able to amuse herself with both training and time, so the situation can ONLY improve.
and lastly, your breaking up the video time for when you do have time is a great option too! NO, not quite as good as a continuous event, but hardly that much worse that you shouldn't try!
A pedometer has also been recommended, that just adds up how many steps you take, doesn't matter what you do to get to them..! might even be a walk in the mall, or the park, or whatever.. all adds up and it gives you a way to keep track and give yourself some credit!
Good luck.

Discuss this with your Dr for the best advice.

The first thing is to stop eating two hours before bedtime. That means nothing except water. You will burn fat a lot easier. If you eat close to bedtime, your body will store the fat.

As for exercising, get a stroller and take her with you. Or try a different routine. Three 5 - 10 minute routines isn't as effective as one 20 minute routine. You want to get at least 20 minutes with a good warm up and proper cool down to be effective.

The mid day is the best time for burnig calories. If you wake at 6 am, about 2 pm your body will burn the most.

I also have a 2 year old and when I do workout videos I have her do them with me... it's fun and she is getting exercise as well. I bought her a little spandex leotard at Target and she gets dressed up in that to do them. Bribes are also good when it comes to wanting "you time"... tell her that if she plays by herself for 10 minutes or however much time you need, that you will take her to the dollar store and she can pick something out, or she can have a snack... you could also do it during her nap time... I get a lot of things done when my kids are sleeping. When it warms up, put her in the stroller and walk to the park.

Walking is really great, but if you're strapped for time there's a very good exercise program for women called XBX. It only takes 11 minutes a day and can be done at home, without buying any equipment. XBX was developed for the RCAF and has been in use for many years. It's very low-impact, gradual and progressive. Here's a link:

Best of luck!

P.S. I forgot to mention it's totally free.

I am in the same situation. After i drop off my son to his preschool,i take my daughter for a walk.Ofcorse she is seating in her stroller, while i do the walking.Sometimes i put on the work out video after dinner and tell my kids to work out with me.It turns into a big joke, but it gets me tired and i am assuming that i lost some calories.I think you should stick with walking.

Find a few other mothers and take turns watching eachothers kids during that time.
