From birth day to 1 year they are babies. From 2 years to 10 years they are kids. From 11 years to 12 years they are pre-teens.From 13 years to 19 years they are teenagers BUT from 18 years to their death they are adults.

Well newborn means birth to three months old, infant means birth to one year, toddler means one year to three years, preschooler is three years to school (5 years), School Age is 5 years until 8-10 (depending on the child's maturation), then comes Preteen (8 or 10-13) and the teens (13-19).
Ultimately, it depends on the child and how mature they are (not just physically but mostly emotionally). Most adults consider a kid to be anyone from preschool age until the late teens. Parents think of their kids as kids always. Some religions define a child as an adult when they reach 13 or the girl starts menstruating.
I know that this gave you several different answers to the same question but without further clarification, I'm not sure in what context to answer it.

To parents, our children will always be our kids. The term really does not refect a child's age anymore, I think. A child becomes an adolescent around 11 and then to the teen years. A young adult at 18 and adult at 21.

That said, I know some 30 somethings that act very childish.

I always thought that you were a kid until you moved out, got married and had a kid. Others say you don't know anything until you're 30 years old...who knows???
