man is at the top of the food chain because everything else tastes so good when cooked and prepared properly. ever watch the food channel?
we nee to raise more chickens, cattle, pigs etc. so we can feast on the bounty. we have every right, because we are all dominant humans who rule the earth. those who feel sorry for doing what is natural and has been the way of the world for thousands of years will soon be out in the cold with the farm animals because the "feel bad" for all the trees and firewood they refuse to enjoy.
i say make mine well done, thanks.

I teach at a nature center and, as I'm sure it is true with other centers, we depend on grants (money) from oil refineries and chemical plants in order to function financially. I think in the U.S. they are required to do things to make reparations (make up) for the damage they do to the environment. How many of us are REALLY willing to give up living with plastics and gasoline vehicles? Our clothes are even made of plastics! Think about all the things in your house that have plastic in them.
It's a good idea to make the polluting companies give money to organizations that are for caring for the environment and the animals in it and trying to educate the public about these issues.
I know someone who works for Dupont Chemical. A group of their employees build and put up bird houses on the company property. Most plants and refineries have vast forested or grassland acreage. Many allow wildlife rehabilitators (like me) to release wildlife onto their properties. Just because it is near a refinery doesn't mean the land is unfit for wildlife. I live near these areas. Deer, opossums, raccoons, owls, hawks, etc. thrive in these areas.
These are some things the "big" guys can do to "pay back" wildlife.

We need to demand (by not buying their products) the big (fast) food companies to treat cattle, chickens, turkeys... with respect, and by that I mean cows don't eat meat so don't feed them with chicken carcasses, give them space. We need to remind ourselves that they are living organisms and treat them right, not everything is about money.

Who says we don't have the right. Are you saying we have less right to use other species than all other predators in the world, or that we have less right to affect other species than every other living thing past or present?
