File jointly. You'll be eligible for the EIC, but can't get it if you file separately. At $15,000 income, married with two kids, you won't owe any taxes. You'll get around $4536 from the EIC. You won't get anything from the Child Tax Credit since you won't owe taxes in the first place - it's possible that you might get something from the Additional Child Tax Credit, but if so it won't be much - it's WAY to late at night to start trying to figure what it would be if anything.
Good luck.

You will qualify for "earned income credit" . You both combined made 15,000??? If this is true, then you will definitely qualify for that tax credit...you are probably looking at anything from 3,000 to 5,000. I am no tax expert, but I have also received earned income credit in the past..... I was single, 2 kids and only brought in about 18,500 and I think I got back around 3,000. But that was quite some time ago...maybe 7 or 8 years ago. I do believe that credit is better now. I thought at the time I was sh!tting in tall cotton!!!

File jointly, and your taxable income is zero. You will get an Earned Income Credit, Additional Child Tax Credit, and all your witholding back as well.
File separately, and you lose the Earned Income Credit.

you do not have any taxable income, therefore will not owe any tax. if you had tax withheld, you should receive it all back. you will get some money also for the earned income tax credit.
