Hey Katie,

The name Kruske appears in the LDS Family Search site with many entries. The oldes entries are German, which is probably the country of origin.

It's Lithuanian or German, I think....
I found this :
Krusas - "Krusas comes from the Lithuanian surname Krusa. Krusa derived from the German surnames Krusch and Krusche. There are 9 Krusas(es) living in Lithuania. I believe that Krusche is a Low(land) German version of the surname Kraus, which was given as a nickname for one with curly hair."
Charles J. emaitis, Decatur, IL.
"Krusas, Krusin, Krosch: Podehl '4444 Namen...' explained these names with the old Prussian word 'kruske' (s with turned accent circonflex) which is a savage sort of pear."
Beate Szillis-Kappelhoff, Salzbergen, Germany.

It's not much, but maybe it will give you a place to start.
