Means that he does what his parents tell him too, not the type to challenge authority. He'll ''consider'' dating you the same way he'd "consider" buying a new computer. Look at the facts, and see if it's a good buy.

Advice to you: find someone who isn't a pansy and will challenge his parents objections to date you if he wants to enough.

I know you say inerpret this striclty based on the given info but it is not enough info for much of an interpretation. But..with only the info given...sounds like he is young with strict parents who wont let him date? you may want to reconsider asking again with ages and more info included.

when he said that he meant 1 of 3 things: 1) his parents are pretty strict with him when it comes to dating, 2) hes going to think about it and just needs some time. or 3) hes not really interested and instead of just saying no, hes trying to tell you in a nice way that he's not interested, that way he can just say his parents dont let him date when in reality he just doesnt like you. just be possitive no matter what he says.

I am wondering how old the guy is?

Some parents don't let their kids date until they are 16, etc. So if the guy is under 16, I could understand why he would say something like that.

If, on the other hand, the guy is 32... flee.

appearently his parents have had a talk with him about when and who he can date....like he cant date till he is 16 for example or they have to meet the person first. He may possible like you but fear of what his parents are going to say......I suggest you ask your friend to go talk to him again and find out his parents rules for dating then say if possible you are willing to work around those rules or even hang out with his family for awhile so they can get to know you...good luck

It means he will consider asking his parents. He might not want to deal with them lecturing him. You can like someone without dating them. Just ask him if he wants to be friends instead, then when hes old enough to date you can do that.

You seem like such a cool person. It sounds to me like he is not that interested. "I'll consider it" sounds like he thinks he's doing you a favor. Move on to the next crush... his loss! You can do way better. Men are like buses, one goes and another one comes by in ten minutes..

It means he doesn't know whether his parents would let him date, but he'll consider it. Its a good thing.

Exactly what it says, he isn't sure his parents will let him date. He might be too young according to them. He will consider asking them. Not hard to figure out???

from experience, it sounds like an excuse...but then i dont know the guy, so im not really sure. all i know is that, if a guy likes you that much, parents or no parents, he'll want to date you. :)
