Nothings set in stone, but I'd really love to go. When should I go, where should I stay, what should I see? Anyone been? Anything you know what be greatly appreciated.

Now.. when I go to Brazil, the best places to go are Fortaleza (Northern Brazil) if you want to see beautiful beaches, places. -it's hot during the whole year, but I would go in the summer. It's safe and pretty. If you want to see a more cultural side, and pretty beautiful places also, go to Rio Grande do Sul (Southern Brazil), Gramado e Canela are the hot spots for tourists during winter, which gets pretty cool down in Southern Brazil.

In Rio, Ipanema is relatively expensive but it's nice. Next to it, Leblon is a good choice as well. I didn't enjoy staying in Copa as much.

Stay in the Resort area. It is very dangerous in the rest of the city. Avoid the favelas if you go.

Try booking your stuff with this site.
They tend to be cheaper than those big names most of the time..
