Neutering him is definitely best. Yes, he will start to spray on things. And he could be restless and become a roamer. He'll be much calmer and make a better house pet if you neuter him.

If you don't have your cat neutered he will definately start to spray . Try to get him done before he is 10 months old. With some males once they start spraying, neutering won't even help. Although I've been lucky. I took in a 4 year old male. Had him neutered before I let him come in the house and he's a very clean cat. Didn't spray once in the house. It's a nasty smell to get rid of.

Yes, he will spray. get him neutered at 5 and a half months old or 6 months old. The spray will come after he gets polder and there is not a thing you can do if you don't neuter him, also, he will smell cats outside in heat and fly out that door on you as well, so get him neutered. It keeps him a nice clean house cat.

Neutering your cat will make him a much more pleasant cat. If he is not neutered in time he WILL begin spraying around the house to mark territiory and to attract females. You don't even want to know how bad that smells! Its awful!
In addition to the spraying, he will also try to get out of the house to find females. He will be harder to train. If there are stray cats in your area, other males may spray outside your house to mark territory, because of the "competition" inside, which is another intact male.
Please get your cat fixed. Not only will your life be much more pleasant, but will be doing the right thing for your cat.

More then likely he wil lstart spraying although not all cats do...You really do need to get him neutered..he will be much healthier and happier if you do. He will no longer be at high risk for testicular and prostrate cancer nor serious reproductive infections...he won't bulk up if he isn't neutered either, plus even if that was the case that is NOT a good excuse not to neuter him.

I have a neutered male that still sprays and then I have 3 unneutered males that don't spray. Go figure! but getting them neutered does definitely make for a calmer companion, better disposition also, and yes they can get bigger after being neutered. I also have 3 more neutered males and one of them is a large fella. And i mean large. And the vet said he is not over weight, he is just large. So i think it is also in their genes.

Last year my beautiful Manx cat Theodore went out for the evening and never came back. I love cats and the house didn't feel the same without one, so I picked up Lola from a rescue centre. She was very frightened and would pee all over the house. I found Cat Spraying No More on the internet and the techniques worked almost immediately. I haven't had a problem with Lola since. Amazing!

Can't stop your cat peeing in the house? Then worry no more...

Your cat will not bulk in size if you do not neuter him. Chances are he will spray everywhere and get real skinny and want to go outside to fight with other male cats. His health will be so much better if you neuter him and he will make a much better pet. Please get him neutered. You will be so glad you did.

Not all male cats spray. I had a male cat that never sprayed. The only reason they really do is for the fact that there are other males in the area. That is there way of marking the place, and to warn other males out.

Hi Amy...neutering will not only ensure your male cat from spraying urine but also prevent aggression when a cat reaches sexual maturity as well as the urge to want to roam in order to mate. All cats male/female will go through sexual maturity and it's their hormones that cause urine spraying to mark territory.

An un-neutered cat is more prone to testicular cancer and decreases the incidence of prostate disease. Neutering can eliminate or reduce the incidence of a number of health problems that can be very difficult or expensive to treat as well.
