Hi. I went through so many different attempts to lose weight before I finally did. What it finally took was for me to learn to accept myself as I was. Once I had a better outlook on my life and some confidence in myself as I *was*, I was able to pursue weight loss for my health and comfort alone rather than vanity--which had been the driving factor in previous weight loss attempts.
You say you're depressed about the weight and want to lose it quickly. What I can tell you is this...weight loss for any other reason than health is not a sufficient motivation for most people to keep it up. Also, quick weight loss is usually not lasting weight loss.
As for weight loss surgeries, they often involve complication and don't solve the root causes of the eating problems they're meant to curb. Since they don't do anything to fix the psychological causes of compulsive overeating, those who have it will often find away around it. I know one person who had the lap band and didn't lose much. I know four people who had the bypass. Two gained every bit of the weight they lost back, and the other two have been in and out of the hospital due to complications from the surgery and malnutrition.
I know it's hard to lose weight. I'm struggling right now to get past a plateau I've hit, but even if I don't, then I've still come a long way. It can be done. I've lost around 150 pounds. Trust me...I know.

If you are really overweight, a good way to start becoming healthier is to make substitutions. For example, if you drink whole milk, start drinking skim. Replace soft drinks or other sugary/calorie loaded drinks with water (flavored with lemon juice if it helps). By slowly changing your eating habits, you'll be more likely to think of this as a long term lifestyle change, and not a diet. Just don't deprive yourself!! This will most likely only lead to binging later on. Go through your kitchen and get rid of food that is bad for you. Replace it with healthy fruits, veggies, and whole grains. That way if you get hungry, you won't binge on bad foods. Start reading food labels as well, it might amaze you some of the nasty things you might be putting into your body (any hydrogenated or trans fats are a big no no). Start eating 5-6 small meals a day to jumpstart your metabolism. Portion control is key!! Working exercise into your daily routine will help as well. Walk to work instead of driving (or park a few blocks away), take the stairs instead of the elevator. Try investing in a yoga or pilates video. Weight training at least twice a week will help as well, as muscle burns calories and weighs less than fat. Whatever you do, don't beat up on yourself if you mess up!! Everyone makes mistakes, what's important is that you keep on going! Try subscribing to a fitness magazine (I like Men's Health or Women's Health) for ideas and inspirations. There is no such thing as healthy, quick weight loss. If you lose weight very quickly, you are more likely to put it back on later. Slow, steady weight loss is your healthiest option. Best of luck!!

healthy and quick don't go together for weight loss, unless you have liposuction, and even then that won't help your metabolism.
Surgery for weightloss is a drastic step. It will adversly affect the way you eat and could have serious side effects. If you have honestly tried everything and nothing has worked, surgery may be a good idea. Either that or you don't have the determination/willpower to stick with a diet and not cheat.

One thing is certain, IF YOU DO NOT PUT IT INTO YOUR MOUTH, IT WILL NOT SHOW UP ON YOUR BODY!
Only one person controls what goes into your mouth; "YOU!"
You do not need anyone to tell you that! Eat an Apple (1), in the morning, a boiled egg (1), in the afternoon and one (1) apple or carrot, for dinner. THE WEIGHT WILL COME OFF!
You don't even have to exercise if you don't want to, but the weight will come off, OVER TIME! You did not put it on in one month, it will not all come off in one month!
Should you chose to exercise a little, you will not THINK that you are hungry so often! If you chose to think FOOD!, your brain will say, I got it, YOU ARE HUNGRY! Then you imagine that you crave and you EAT! Try controlling YOUR brain, like you are suppose to. Tell it/yourself, I AM NOT HUNGRY!
That puts the fight between you, the Boss and your brain, the servant! Only you can chose the winner! ONLY YOU!

Have you gone to a holistic practitioner who specializes in applied kinesiology? It may be that you're allergic to some foods you eat and do not know it. Just because you don't break out in hives does not mean you're not allergic. Avoiding the foods that you're allergic to can cause you to lose weight naturally. I don't know where you live but you can click on this link and contact the holistic doctors here:

They had a big part in my weight loss and being able to maintain a healthy life style. I wish you the best!

Asama? Is that asthma? I found asthma used to restrict me but I have overcome it. Anyway do long brisk walks or long slow runs. Long and slow = getting your body into fat burning mode. This type of exercise is much more beneficial than going all out. So go for an hour long brisk walk or go for an hour long slow run. Try to exercise every day of the week or at least 5 out of 7. For diet - eat as much fruit as you can before every meal and incorporate a daily large green salad or large green smoothie (fruits blended with greens) into your eating. Fruits and greens contain all the nutrients your body needs, are easy to digest and will help prevent cravings. They will also benefit your asthma. Get plenty of fresh air and sunlight and you will start getting happy about yourself and lose weight. Hope this helps.

I understand your frustration. I had tried EVERY diet out there and nothing worked for me. Then I learned about the Medifast program. I did some research and decided it was time for me to be alive again. I have lost 78 pounds in four months but more importantly I feel fantastic. Nothing taste as good as losing weight feels. I'll remember you in my prayers.

Only diet will be too slow to see result. Besides diet, you should try cardio excercises, u know like running or swimming. Also, yoga can help with the digestive system. Most importantly you must be patient and just don't give up. Good luck!
