Love is an emotion that needs an expression to survive. Believe me, if you will not do something about it towards who you feel in love with, either your family member, a friend, or to an opposite sex, that feeling will just die.

There is all kinds love! There is not one definition. Here is my opinion/point of view..
The most common one is the romantic love. The one that makes you want to be with that person and share time and experiences together. This may be short lived or turn in to Super Nova Real Love. Well, actually maybe not that exciting. I guess "matured real love".
This is a point in life where you have spent some time with your loved one and discovered that it's not all there. All humans make mistakes and is not perfect. When you learn to accept these things and your partner does the same...it's great. Ah, one of the true real love experiences.
Understanding, patience, and genuine care, yup that's real love. This is my life with my wife. We have been married for 17 years. I feel complete and I know she does too.
There is love for your family which of course is different from romantic. It's interesting because it has the same characteristics (understanding, patience, and genuine care). I have two boys and I love them so much. They love me back 10 fold. Just a kiss and a "good morning", a hug, a smile of appreciation....it's true love.
So I think you get the idea. I only have time for two...
I think you are looking for real love.....
If you look, there will be someone for you. I believe this. You should too. It may take a week or several years, But if you LOOK you WILL find. Don't rush things, if it is true, they will always be there for you. Hey, that rhymes...hmmm
Remember understanding, patience, and genuine care is the key YOU BOTH SHOULD HAVE AND DO! Not just one. Unless the other is incapacitated, etc.
Remember it's not just one or two things...emotional, physical, financial, etc. Look into your feelings and your thoughts. If you want to get serious, ask yourself "Can I live with this person the rest of my life?"
I hope this helps! Good luck

Everyone has their opinion, as do I, and that is great. If your a religious type, look at 1 Corinthians ch. 13 in the Bible. It's fairly short and is the definition of Love. (also called "Charity" in the King James version). After reading this, it's hard to top it.

Love
it is an emotion , a feelin , an ecstacy
It is a the state of tenderness in heart for sum1 , for any1 actually
Luv can b for a person , a thing , a pet .....
U luv the people close to u , ur family , ur frnz , ur pet , and at last THE SPECIAL ONE.
U mite luv ur profesion , ur subject .
Its also a form of adoration : u adore ur senior , ur professor,
ur role model , a movie star , a celebrity ,
d unconditional presence , support is luv.
But luv in its purest form is frndship , d presence wid othrs in deir need , d need of ur luvd ones, d promises of being true to d othr ,
that is wat luv is all about!!!

love is when you care so much for a person that you would do anything for them and they feel the same about you, and the two people are almost one. love is the ultimate feeling and purpose to life.

Love is something and nothing, it hurts and it's great, and it makes you laugh and cry at the same time. You never know what happens during love. Love just is.

Hamne dekhi hai in ankhon ki mahakti khushboo,
Haath se chhoo ke ise rishton ka ilzaam na do,
sirf ehsaas hai ye rooh se mehsoos karo,
Pyaar ko pyaar hi rehno do koi naam na do.
