I am 18 years old, not a felon, no police record whatsoever. I enjoy shooting and would very much like to purchase a 1911 before I move out on my own. I read that in TN I can do this. Can I?

You must be 21 to buy handguns in the U.S. This is a federal law. If you are only 18, you are restricted to buying rifles and shotguns.
