I haven't done extensive research on this subject (but as a psychology major I certainly plan to one day), but from my limited research of Wikipedia it does appear that you may have antisocial personality disorder which is defined as "individual's impulsive behavior, disregard for social norms, and indifference to the rights and feelings of others." Sociopathy and Psychopathy are more severe forms of personality disorders - of which you may also have. I recommend reading the two articles i've listed in my source. The first article goes over antisocial personality disorder and the second goes over both psychopathy and sociopathy. Good luck!

It's pretty normal that you don't want treatment considering what needs to be treated. You seem to have a flat affect, so I would imagine that you dont feel the need to be treated when you clearly don't care.
You might be psychotic and yes, maybe you do have some type of antisocial disorder. Do you think you'd feel remorse if someone close to you died, like your mother? Or if you were the person to kill her? If no, then I'd suggest you do seek professional help, otherwise, I wouldnt sweat it too much.. you might just not be a very sensitive person and while that isnt terrific, it isnt the worse thing in the world.

Never been sorry in your life? Well, you may have an Anti-Social Disorder indeed, or be a clinical sociopath (lack of empathy). While it's not normal. that doesn't makes you a monster. Another possibility is that you're repressing your feelings in some way, through denial. However, the only person able to give you a reliable diagnose is a psychiatric or psicoanalist

Jo, I feel for you, my daughter was the same. Some youngsters find the transition from childhood to adulthood very difficult. Let's face it most of us have found it so. Your daughter is obviously more sensitive than most. Take her to the doctor. She may be suffering a mild form of depression. Often a soft anti-depressant can get kids over this difficult period. No she is not lazy - what kid of her age would want to miss out on the teens - falling for unsuitsble boys, gossiping with the girls over which boy is the "hottest".? Course she wouldn't. No, Jo, she needs little help and you a such a good mother to come on here and seek help. My daughter is now in her thirties, happily married and I'm a grandma. Believe me you'll be there in ten to fifteen years too and you are doing your best to help your daughter. I wish you both all the luck in the world. - Seek a little help, I'll be thinking of you Mo Been there, done that. It resolves itself - honest!

I've personally never heard of this disorder but I would say there is something wrong with the way you think.
Having emotions are what divides us from animals and without them we are sub human.
You sound totally amoral, not knowing the difference between right and wrong and you share the same characteristics as a psychopath.
You do need help, if not only to find out what is really wrong with you and if you didn't think you did need help you wouldn't be asking this question.
So get off your emotionless butt and find out the reality of your situation before it goes too far and can never be rectified.

I would say you have disorder of some sort. It is apparent that you are making light of situations in order to avoid pain. What you feel is not wrong in any way. Not wanting to treat it - well, like it or not you will either want to deal with it some time or regret not doing so. Without being able to experience all of human emotion, not just the good parts, you will never truly be yourself.
I know. I've been through it.

Anti-social disorder is not common, and is often confused with an asocial personality (scared of social situations... you know, social anxiety, etc). It sounds like anti-social personality disorder could explain your feelings (or lack of them). It would help if you saw someone, even if you don't want help. You could end up hurting someone.

It is a common misconception that antisocial people have bad social skills. I guess in a way, you do have it because it is characterized by a "lack of conscience." Antisocial people tend to have criminal behavior and care more about themselves than others, and don't think ahead. If these describe you, then you are probably antisocial.

i have no idea what the answer to your question is but i would like to say that that is a tough thing to admit to yourself and others. i think your honesty is commendable.
it would make sense that you wouldnt want treatment considering you struggle with caring about others but hopefully theres a way out.
it may sound trite, but i will pray for you.
