You need to contact an emergency vet. It sounds like she may have developed an infection and/or is hemorrhaging on the inside.

******************
If this is parvo...... Do not give her water!!!! This helps the disease to eat her alive on the inside. You need to keep calling vets until you find one that will come in and treat her now!!! It is very possible to save her even if it is parvo. I have had to pups that had parvo and were able to save them both. (Have lost one to it though before I knew how to treat it). The vet will need to see it for 3 or 4 days. Give it daily IVs and daily powerful antibiotics to attack the disease. So don't give up hope. BUT DO GET THAT PUPPY TO A VET! DO NOT WAIT AROUND TILL MONDAY!!

I think u should call a vet &/ an emergency hsopital bcasue it sound like she has an infection!! Since she is not eating or drinking but still having bloody poop and urine that's not normal! Is her incision area red, swollen, puss come out of it or look inflamed @ ALL? If any of these symptoms please get to a vet or call 1since these r not normal!! How was she w/in the 1st 48 hrs? Did she eat or drink @ all & then stop or has hse NOT eaten or Drinking ANYTHING SINCE the spaying? My brother is a vet & would like to know if u could give more details since based on what u have said don't sound good! It could b an infection or she could be reacting 2 something. Has she gotten into anything? How is her energy level same better, lower since the spaying? Were u given medication 4 after the spaying or a # 2 call 4 ?'s?? Please he needs more details!!

Bloody mucus stool is most likely a cause of worms. A good possibility of hookworms. My dogs had this, and a simple check for worms and a tablet for each dog and it was cleared up.

As far as the vomit, if you have already given her pepto bismol, when its vomited back up it appears as blood and is often mistaken as blood.

Definately take her to a vet, but I dont think it sounds like parvo. Give the dog water. Water will not do anything to your dog, the only purpose to withold water is prior to blood tests or surgery.

As far as the dog being from your dogs litter, if she has a sister that is only 7 months older than her, I hope that is because your male sired two females. It is unhealthy for your female to be having back to back litters. Please allow her a resting heat between litters. ie. I bred my minpin in september of 2005 (pups in November 2005), now I've bred her again in November of 2006 (pups due anyday January 2007).

I would not wait until morning with this dog!!! ER vet now!! It could be a lot of things, an overwhelming infection is one!! If in doubt, go to the vet. Don't wait on this one or you might lose the dog!!!

Also, dogs of this age can still get Parvo. Don't think just because she has had shots, she is safe. Did she have high titer vaccine as a pup? How many shots did she have? Did you think about other diseases, like Corona?

I work in a animal hospital. I do not think that this is related to the spaying. It could be parvo. When dogs get parvo they do have very bloody stools, and they do not hold down any food or water. Sometimes they even throw up bial. It sounds like she is throwing up blood, and the blood is coming from her stomach or throat being irritated from the vomiting. She definitely needs to take her in to a vet and figure this out. This is not normal.

It is very possible this pup has parvo. You need to get him to a vet ASAP!!!! Any dog with parvo go down hill very fast (especially pups). Parvo is very deadly! It can be treated but it MUST be caught right away. Some of your severe cases can be turned around but this is very hard to do. PLEASE take this pup to a vet in the morning. One simple test will help rule this out. (and if it is not parvo the vet can tell you what it is).

EDIT:
I AM SO SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT YOU PUPPY! At such a young age it is very hard for their immune systems to function the way they should. (i think i would be reporting the vet that did this to her....the damage is already done for you and that REALLY sucks but if you report it maybe you can prevent this from happening to someone else.) Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your little loved one.

GOOD LUCK!! (keep us posted)

I can't believe the advice these vet are giving you. Her problem sounds serious. She may be bleeding internally somewhere. I don't think the pup has Parvo. It has a very distinct smell and you didn't mention that. The smell of her poop would be unbearable. I used to work for a vet and dealt with a lot of Parvo dog.

Find a responsible vet who is willing to take the pup for observation. They can't diagnose her unless they see this for themselves Has either one of these vets asked you to bring in a fecal sample.

Last word of advice....find a decent vet ASAP. Good Luck!

The vomiting, and lack of appetite might be an infection. Is the surgical sight red or oozing. The abnormal stool could be associated a bacterial or viral infection. It could also be due to parasites like coccidia or hookworms. Regardless-the vet needs to know about it. Especially since it is occuring so soon after the spay.

I wouldn't waste any more time on the internet. Take the dog to a vet now. Is there an emergency/24 hour clinic where you are? What's the point in trying to diagnose it yourself or having a vet diagnose without seeing/examining it. Don't take the chance.

omg I am so sorry to hear that. I will pray for the little pookems. I am very nervous to have my bt spayed. Especially when I hear stories like that. I would report the vetthat did the butchering. Where or who to I don't know but there has got to some sort of board of vets.
