Dr. Nachman Brautbar of UCLA reviewed the legal case of Sharesa Price in Florida 2005 and concluded she had a brain tumor as a result of alot of cell phone usage. The microwave penetrated the blood brain barrier and was responsible for her cancer. Anyone know of anyone else.

This was a real legal case in Florida 2005. Anyone know of anyone attempting litigation in court for this same issue?

It would be nice to see it more prevalent... People will play it off as a rumor, something someone doesnt want to hear they will ignore it. It wouldnt surprise me, I see people use Cell Phones way more than nessesary, that could possibly be why the world has dulled down, the constant bombardment by Cellular frequencies.

That is quite ridiculous.

First there is an evident misconception of the blood-brain barrier here. The blood-brain barrier (or hemato-encephalic barrier) refers to the fact that some molecules and cells (such as white blood cells) cannot penetrate the nervous system, not to some membrane that protects the brain against evil rays. When people use oversimplification like that, it is a sure sing that either:

A) they dont know what they are talking about
B) they are trying to fool you

Also, the studies that supposedly proved that microwaves (or if you prefer, cell phones) cause cancer were not done according to good scientific practice, and nobody can actually reproduce them. If the effect was so strong, most groups around the world would see it. That is not the case. So you can conclude that cell phones are no more dangerous for you than you normal everyday exposure to radiation (mostly from the sun and cosmic rays) and your breathing oxygen (which produces free radicals, which are known carcinogens).

There's not enough proof either way as to whether or not Cell phones can cause Brain Cancer...however cell phones definitely do put out a high power microwave signal, which does pass through the brain when the cell phone is held up against the ear. So to minimize the risk of any possible health threats, do the following:

1. Purchase a cell phone with a low S.A.R. (Specific Absorption Ratio) SAR is the amount of the signal that is absorbed by the brain.

2. Do not place the phone near your ear during or immediately after powering the phone up. During the power up stage of the phone (when it's looking for a signal), the phone is transmitting at it's highest power.

3.Simply minimize the amount of time you chat on a cellphone, only use it when it's absolutely necessary. Use a landline whenever there is one available.

I don't think that you can get cancer from cell phone usage. And even if that was the case, not enough people get it for everyone to stop being so addicted to their cell phones. I bet that lady just got cancer and wanted to blame the cell phone company. They did not make her use the cell phone. I guess if you can get cancer from it, it is a risk you take by using a cell phone.

Seems that this company or individual has a financial gain to sell books on the topic.
