Seriously. It seems like insurance co.'s have worked out some kind of scam where they can hike up rates and govt makes insurance mandatory.
I hate insurance.

Greed is indeed the driving force behind high rates, but it's not coming from the insurance companies. One word sums up the reason insurance rates are so high -- fraud. Companies spend about 40% of every premium dollar paying fraudulent claims or combating them. This problem is as small as the person swearing that scratch on his fender wasn't there before the accident to claimants, lawyers and chiropractors all working in unison to soak thousands and thousands of dollars from an insurance company in elaborate scams. Why do you think companies have armies of claims specialists and lawyers on staff? If fraud were eliminated they would only need a clerk to issue checks.

They don't really over charge all of us if you think about it! They Only overcharge Those with bad history records, the wreckless, dangerous, or people with low credit scores or no credit at all! For example, I had insurance that only cost me about $176.....for the whole six months! How many people can get that! But as soon as I got two tickets it shot up to $600 something just like that! Its not the company that is overcharging you......but YOU who decides your own rates.....if you chose to be safe and follow the rules you'll get it as low as it comes....if you drive like a bat outta hell then you get what you deserve basically! They charge the younger more because of the statistics that we created for ourselves! Driving drunk, or high, speeding the most and more! The Good shall pay with the bad, Sorry! Get everyone we know to stop doing stupid stuff maybe they will lower it for the good people!

It is not a matter of being over charged it is a matter of you needing to know your policy. If feel that you are being over charged shop around and ASK QUESTIONS.... However you need to understand that your insurance rates are based solely on your driving record and past claim history. So if you have a record full of violations and accidents there is nothing that any company can do to lower your rates until they fall off your record.

It's not about greed...it's about INSURANCE FRAUD and your state's legislature refusing to do something about it...that's why everyone's rates are high & unreasonable. Stop the fraud and rates won't be high. CA has the insurance industry under control and they're out there fighting the bad guys along with the insurance companies...too bad other states don't follow. Hmmm...let's see....CA busts the bodyshops, doctors, and attorneys for fraud, NV doesn't, nor do they prosecute insurance fraud....CA prohibits the use of credit reports and zip codes to determine rates, other states don't.....
You want insurance reform, contact your representatives, contact your DOI.
But taking this into consideration.....considering what I pay for insurance, I'm not complaining.

I'm sorry you think you are being overcharged.
Personally, I am a good risk and I have a great rate.
If you think you are paying too much....try to find out why your rate is so high and work on fixing whatever is the problem.

Its society that makes insurance rates go up.
The more accidents, the more claims. The more claims, the high rate for everyone...
