I don't know anything about acoholic drinks and would like to learn how to mix the basics or have a poster in my room showing the different mixed drinks and what they have in them? If that makes sense

I almost got a job as a bartender, but realized it wasn't for me. I bought a book called, "bartending for dummies", and it walks you through step-by-step. Borders would have it, but half.com or ebay, etc. might have it for real cheap. Use flash cards to memorize the really hard ones to remember, but don't waste the time unless you plan to work at a really ritzy bar. Most order a beer or wine in regular bars. Also, if you don't know the drink, just ask! People won't think you're dumb for asking how to make a drink. In my opinion, it takes integrity to admit you don't know something and having the courage to ask. How else will you learn?? Good luck!

Amazon.com should have some of the basic books...Boston's Guide (a more formal, high class, list of drinks) or the Bartender's Bible. If you don't shop online check out a bookstore. As for posters, any poster shop in a mall or online should have them or a college bookstore.

If you don't want to spend any money, try the Internet. There are lots of good cocktail sites like this one:

Spencer's specialty shops. You can usually find them at the mall.
