I am leaving for bootcamp in Feb. I am a dirtbike racer and would love to take ti with me when I get stationed somewhere. Is there a way to keep recreational vehicles on a navy base?

Yes you can but not until you get to your permanent duty station. you can also get a storage unit on base that it will fit in while you're on deployment. Ask your chain of command when you get there and they can give you all the details for that base.

The answer is almost always yes, depending on where you are stationed.

My advice to you would be to do exactly what my buddy did in the Marine Corps when stationed in Hawaii. He bought a fairly cheap but reliable van and kept his KX250 in the back. Doing that did three things, it gave him a storage place, it was his transportation to the tracks or around town, and it kept the motorcycle secure so noone would either mess with it or steal it. He had a ball with it and only broke a few bones. Good luck.

Most bases have some facilities for that, if not just go off base to a storage company like U-Haul, and put it in a unit until you get back. Your Sea Pay will more than cover the storage cost.

Every base has its own rules about POV's , privately owned vehicles. You will have to check with the base when you get there, or when you know where you are going.
