Why do you spend all day trying to justify your opinion to people that do believe? I know why. You do it because you are afraid. When you die you will be held accountable. I hope you are prepared for that. If you don't beleive, you will. You'll See. PS Saints 28 Bears 13

As someone who used to really dislike people who spread their belief in God beyond themselves, I know why you would think that.

Honestly, for me it was our of frustration. Things like creationism is schools, Pat Robertson, and pro-life movements are, in my opinion and many others who are atheists, non-productive to America and the world as a whole. To me, I see people demanding we teach creationism as the final roadblock to having 100% proof that evolution is correct (as opposed to the 99.999% we have now). I see these super-preachers who spread messages of intolerance to gays and lesbians that just lead to more hate that we just don't need after so many years of ignorance to them. And I see thousands of rape victims forced to have children in their teens because their was no morning after pill there to protect them.

I respect your opinion, I really do. But when you attack us (atheists), we just see all the things we see as harmful and wonder what type of world we would live in if people like you just saw what we saw. So yes, it is out of fear. Fear that the world is going in a place led by Christian values that just seem... outdated.

So yeah... Saints will win tomorrow.

Is that anything like why Christians try convert other people to believing... because if they're wrong, they're afraid that they'll be held accountable?

Just wondering.

Part of me actually hopes that the Bible or Qur'an are correct, just so I can spit in Jehovah/Allah's eye. But in my heart of hearts, I know that the Divine has to be so much more than the petty, cruel child god described in the Abrahamic scriptures.

Truth? What truth? All you have is a book that you claim is "god's word". May I remind you that there are hundreds of different versions of the bible? HUNDREDS!!!! King James took what he wanted from one version, and added what he wanted to it! Still people followed it! If god is so great and benevolent, then why would it punish people for being free thinkers? For listening to other people's views without accepting them as their own? Is god gonna send us to hell for being open minded enough listen? The bottom line is that nobody really knows the truth. The people I look up to are the ones that don't pass judgment on others because of difference in belief. Also, it is not we who are afraid. Do you know what praying really is? It's sucking up to a higher power. If god DOES exist, what makes you think that out of the billions of people on this earth, that it would actually have the time to care about you? People follow things blindly. You just sit back and offer yourself to a god, and it is in this, that you will condemn yourself to your own hell. Please, for the sake of you and others around you, be open minded enough to look at both sides of the picture.

beliefs are counter-productive they allow the mind to stop functioning, they are much harder to change than ideas. and therefore less adaptive to life. Wasting your life on bedtime stories will all seem worthless when it's time for you to not exist. Will wasting you whole one chance at existance be worth it if your wrong? remember your a believer as you said not a knower!

Any person above the age of 10 can see if there was a god he would be a sick, twisted, evil, f*uck. And you can't argue hes not evil. He created evil and therefore must be considered to be evil. if your god didn't exist then your evil wouldn't exist.

I see what your saying in a way about why would they be here if they don't even believe what were talking about exists, but mostly their hate for Christians come from messages like this so don't do that.

You have no truths. Only fairie tales written by men foe the purpose of controlling other people. The only fear I see is the christians unending, uncontrolled, and irrational fear of death.

Yep... I'm completely afraid of that which does not exist. I'm shaking in my heathen boots.

I could say the exact same thing to you, but it would be about the truth of Quetzalcoatl.
