I have a recipe which contains fresh bakers yeast and I only have freeze dried yeast off the supermarket shelf. How much in teaspoons is 25gms.
Does the yeast give the ginger beer plant the alcoholic content?

Either type will work fine.
The pack should indicate how many gms are in it.
The action of the yeast consuming the sugars produces alcohol, which eventually kills the yeast.
