I have 2 turtles. Their names are Toby and Johnny (my sister named him Johnny, I told her we should have named it Dexter, but she did'nt listen!) and there's only one thing that bothers me....
I'm not totally sure if it's a boy or girl or not....
So, when they are adults, I don't want to be freaked out if I find out that they are females....so yeah. I'm changing their names. I was trying to find a name that fits both boy and girl, so I was thinking about Alex and Daryn.
But Daryn reminds me of my cousin....who passed away. :(
and Alex is this really cute guy in my class, but I don't care about him, so I'm using the name anyway. It's not like I'm naming it after him. I just like the name. So I'm definetly using Alex. I'm not sure if I'm using Daryn. But I really really like that name. Here are other names I can't use cuz of personal reasons:
Sam/Sammi
Daniel/Danielle
Or any other weird food name like, "cupcake"
I also don't want a dumb name like "speedy"
I want a real one!

Go to a vet, and ask the sex.
Then name it appropriately.
Male name: Gamera
Female Name: Mothra
Or Tee, and Rex.
Or Cuddles.
Damn, that's a good question. When was a kid, I had a turtle, we named Mark Twain, because he was found by the river, near a riverboat dock.
We ended up giving him to a zoo's reptile house.

how about foo-foo cuddly poops??? lol, just kidding...i like daryn, my friend's name is logan, and shes a girl but i also know a boy logan, she also has a sister named skye which can also be a boy name...try going to babynames.com or a site with lots of boy/girl names. search on google!

you should go by your turtles personality. I have a girl turtle & I call her Spaz. Because she spazzes out when she sees me. Also female turtles are larger then male turtles if that helps you. Take care
