I would say the answer to that is b/c they care about you! It would be very sad if your family was not interested in what you are up to!
At the same time, there are limits as to how far family should be involved in your life. If they are crossing the line, maybe you could let them know in a gentle and kind fashion.

thats the best part of being a family. don't take it for granted, enjoy it while you have them. besides they are the ones that are going to be there when you need them.
