Al Gore,
I hate to break this to you and it is possible that you don't care about this but The nuslim god (Allah) and the real God are not the same thing.
The God of Israel is the only true living God but some refer to the God of Isareal the Christian God or the God of Abraham,Isaac and Jacob but the Allah is like those Egyptians and Greek gods,Allah is not real.
Allah and Islam was created out of anger & hatred by Ishmael who rebuked against Abraham because Abraham named his son Isaac to be the leader of many nations in his stead instead of Ishmael.
In other words,Ishmael ran off pouting and throwing a temper tantrum because he didn't get his way so he rebuked Abraham and rebelled against God and created his own religion and his own God in spite of Abraham and God.
Amaunet,
I'm sorry to tell you but you are wrong, the Islamic god (Allah) is not the same as the Christian God.
The Christian God is real,Allah is not.

People are losing religion not because of a specific religion. Most atheists have done their research on one or more religions and have come to their decision that they can not believe in something without valid proof. Some are just fed up with the things going on in the world such as war that are religiously based and can't understand that such organizations, who preach peace, use violence as a means to 'peace'. There are a lot of other reasons why but I would be taking up way too much space and I'm sure others will respond with their reasons. Catagorizing muslims solely on their religion is not right. There are plenty of people in the world who happen to be muslim who do not condone violent terroristic acts. Catagorizing ANYONE on who they are is not right. Every human being is an individual and yes, some do rally together for whatever cause they are for but each individual thinks for him/herself. It saddens me to even think that this worldwide hate will never end but it feels that way. One can only hope that we all slowly wake up to our horrible ways and find a better way to deal with our differences.

Christians and muslims have done many crimes, but still people believe god, I dont think any thing makes people disbelieve in god.
Only religions are changing, as new ideas are coming into discussion. I think belief is becoming more of personal choice and liberal. Eastern faiths would gradually take over, the middle eastern faiths. Atheist would grow, but theists are also growing due to population growth.

I think people have found new religions, like Feminism, & Humanism. They take the supernatural out of all of it. So that it doesn't seem like a religion because "Religion" turns people off. People don't like being told they are wrong or do bad things! So they make up new rules that have big holes in them, creating hypocrites out of everyone, and having them believe, it is okay to pass judgment on some, but then not be subject to judgment themselves. I hate the word religion, & I am a Christian. I think people use that word poorly.
I agree, there is one true God. You either worship & obey him or you don't. There is no other choice no gray area!

Musims, Christians and Jews have the same God they just have different ways of interpreting his will and worshipping him. Religion has always been a part of human society and believe of not it serves a purpose. Religion is not disappearing it is simply changing. What we nowcall mythology and think are ridiculous made-up stories by a primitive society used to be there religion. In the same way our current religions will become mythology soon enough and new more "correct" religions will arise in order to serve the purpose of religin in society.
And Muslim bashing is pointless. NOT ALL MUSLIMS ARE TERRORISTS. just like not all Christians believe in Hell. There are different sects and there are such things as EXTREMISTS and that's what terrorist muslims are, a small minority!

Most Muslims do not support terrorist acts. They worship the same god that Christians do, just a different prophet.
Also, I do believe that less and less people overall are becoming religion. I think that in a few hundred years, there will be few religious people.

I think that we are at the end of an Age - specifically the age of Pisces which was the age of Christianity. I think by the middle of this century our attitudes toward religion (the big 3 Islam, Judaism & Christianity in particular) will be very very different.
Peace!

The religion of $, sex, drugs, power, careers, intellectualism, self, cars, etc., etc. , will never disappear because of the natural [carnality] of the mind. In other words, it is human to pursue the physical and make gods out of these things. What you serve is your god, remember !

Who you mad at? The Muslims? Or the Catholics? Or the Athiests? You seem to be making statements against them all.
Religion is not disappearing. I am seeing an increase in those who are joining churches and getting saved.
