Windows Media Player 11 Question - HELP!!!?

Question

I upgraded my computer to WMP 11 and now when I try to play movies on my computer they come in black and white with faded color splotches and trailing. My video card is a Nvidia GE Force FX 6800 GT. My other computer has the same Media Player and I don't have this problem on that one.

I tried to uninstall it and reinstall WMP and it didn't help. Could the problem be that I also have Divx player on there and it automatically comes on when I start the Media Player? PLEASE HELP ME!!! Thank you!!!

I already updated the Nvidia drivers to 9371 so that isn't the problem...I can run Media Player Classic with no problems just not WMP 11...

You're problem is a rather strange one indeed !!

According to me, your problem lies not in WMP11, but I think in your graphic card drivers. If you haven't done so, get the latest ForceWare drivers (93.71) from http://www.nvidia.com and install them.

Also, check the 'Video Settings' within WMP11 and make sure that the brightness & contrast settings are proper & balanced.

I don't think there's a problem with the DivX player since even I have it on my PC and it comes on whenever I play a DivX / XviD movie.

I actually have it notwithstanding that is too sluggish for me so I hardly ever use it. Cool shades although. I actually have my music on I-TUNES. that is way speedier. up to now I`ve been able to upload all yet 3songs. i wager because of copyright regulations or some thing. All 3 were purple Floyd tunes. It kinda sucks because they are MY cds. offered and paid for. as quickly because it become unable to verify what become on the disc and gave me 2 options. of direction I chosen what I paid for. I actually have NERO which appearently received't reject some thing. Now my in user-friendly words difficulty is area on my computer. i'm finished and performance in user-friendly words uploaded 25% of my cds. Winows Media participant is way TOO sluggish!!
