well, you are doing nothing wrong!
you are doing perfectly fine!
the thing is, cutting out soda is supposed to help you lose 25 pounds over the whole year...you wont see immediate results!
your body needs to accomodate the less sugar and not making it go to fat.
just keep drinking water, and dont go back to soda, its bad for you anyway. just drink it on occasion, thats what i do, i havnt drunk soda for like....a year..and i dont miss it, lol
it really has made me healthier.
try exercising...cutting out soda alone wont help you lose weight...you just can burn more calories because you dont have empty calories of soda on top of everything else you eat.
dont worry, you will see results soon...
just dont expect to see flat abs just because you cut out soda.
lol
good luck!

Cutting out only soda, and that's soda with sugar in it, alone is not going to make you lose weight. That is if you aren't watching everything else you are eating and excercising you aren't going to lose weight. You have to think through what kind of a diet you want to be on, do it, and don't even think about the soda thing, you can diet with diet soda, or lemonade is very good for you, the lemon cuts down on a lot of fats, and the best thing to do is to add some vitamins, and acually omega 3 fish oils will help metabolize some fats. They seem to have become the new fat reducer of the 21st century so far, but they do help with dieting and with your skin. They come from fish like Salmon which has always been known to be one of the best things to eat on a diet, so I go with this one trend and don't think it's sillly like all the fat losing pills you see on TV that do nothing for you. But try and add a bit of excercise. You can start small, like walk a mile, which really isn't much, or do about 20 minutes of something at a gym and work up. You need the excercise to lose weight. Even the South Beach Diet, which at the beginning says you don't need to excercise to lose weight, and Atkins which used to say no excercise, both do point out that you want to lose and keep it off, do something, even if it's while you are reading or watching TV.
This is coming to you from someone who has lost 90 lbs, so I know of what I speak. I'm not just throwing words at you.

Again, as I always say, try a natural product, such as Hydroxycitric Acid. HCA is found in only a few plants, with one rich source being the rind of a pumpkin-shaped fruit called Garcinia cambogia, which is native to Southeast Asia.
It blocks the conversion of simple sugars into fats and it is likely to work best in conjunction with a high simple sugar diet. It makes you feel full, so you eat a normal amount. It also help raise your metabolic rate (NOT your heart rate!), so, you burn more calories. We all know that if we burn more calories than we consume, we lose weight! I'm taking a gel product that has worked wonders. My mom has also lost weight: 12 pounds in 2 months. Naturally. So, it's healthy.

Wow, um, okay. That will help, but it isn't enough to cause signifigant weight loss on its own. Think about it. If the average can of soda has.. lets say.. 150 calories in it, and you need to loose 3500 calories to loose a pound, thats 23.3 sodas for one pound. Thats alot of soda. Besides, you need to be taking in less calories then you burn to loose weight. Cutting out soda is good, but if you still munch on ice cream and candy all day, all you did was slow down your weight gain. You need to cut out more junk food and start exercizing.

Unless you really deprive yourself of calories, you won't lose much weight by diet alone.
Try running, jogging, or walking around the block as often as possible.
To increase your metabolism, try breaking up your food intake into much smaller increments throughout the day.

if that is all you are doing it may not work. Women have harder times losing weight, we have to work harder too.
Just cutting out soda for most women won't work. You have to eat a healthy diet, exercise, and keep at it, and you will lose wight in no time.

You are probably eating more sugary foods to compensate for sugar you are not getting from the soda
