I am by no means a doctor (yet) but I do work for a breast surgeon. From what you have related to us about your grandmother's health, it is difficult to make any conclucsions. Varying things have to be considered, such as diagnosis, stage, state of health, etc. As far as dehydration goes, it is a serious thing in it self and does take a while to correct. Especially if there is venous insufficientcy- IV fluids is probably what they did and it can take up to 72 hours to correct. I don't know what to tell you about your grandmother's condidtion, but I would suggest talking to your parents or, if you are old enough, her doctor. Lots of luck and my prayers are with you.

So sorry to hear about your Grandmother. Not always, but most of the time, once it has matastacised to a secondary site, or spread, that isn't a good sign. I don't know if she will live or die, I'm not her Dr. but chemo and radiation will make her loose alot of weight. She will feel like absolute **** and staying hydrated will kepp her alive, if she is dehydrated her body can't help to fight the disease. Try to talk to her Dr.'s or someone in the family who has been talking to them and find out what they say the outlook is, some people live and some die, there are so many factors. I'm guessing that if it has spread it is a stage 3 or 4, 4 being the highest and those are pretty agressive cancers. Just be there for her, try to get her to drink water and if she wants to go, let her, she will be much happier.

I will be 85 next month, suffering from leukemia for seven years. As I know that Jesus has saved me and I will be in Heaven, I can happily die. So can your grandma.
In the Beginning God created heavens and earth.
God gives you air to breathe and sunshine to enjoy.
God gives you water to drink and food to eat.
God gives you a wonderful body and sound mind, to live.
God loves you, and you are precious to Him.
Son of God died on the Cross to save us from condemnation.
Jesus’ love is boundless and everlasting.
We have the hope of Heaven through Jesus.
Life therefore has fantastic and glorious future!

breast cancer alone is hard enough to battle but when it spreads to other areas of the body it makes it even harder liver cancer in hard to beat i guess it all depends on how much fight she has left in her sorry and good luck
