Stop looking. Its strange, but it always works!

Getting a boyfriend is easy. Getting someone who is a good match for you is another matter. I think it is important to have a life and interests that you can share with another person. Take good care of yourself and always try to look your best. People enjoy being with someone with a sense of humor, so don't be too serious or afraid to laugh at yourself. A good person will want to be with you even if you aren't perfect. (and nobody is) Don't try too hard to impress people, be yourself. It's a tired cliche , but it works. Remember that it's ok not to be in a relationship, and it doesn't mean that you are weird or that something is wrong with you. When you meet the right person, that spark will be there and you'll know it.

In some cases, all it requires is a smile and "Hey, handsome!"

In others it requires strategy, lying, and bribery...apple pie can be wielded to great effectiveness!

Seriously, though, 'getting' a Boyfriend (love that capital B) is just as hard or difficult as getting a Girlfriend.

Be available!
People need to know that you are looking. Now, this does not mean having a male relative writing your name and number on the boy's locker room wall. This means ask people you know if someone you like is available, too! Make some waves, get in the mix...do something that puts you in the spotlight (also does not mean running naked through the cafeteria).

Be well groomed!
Brush your teeth, have your hair cut, wear nice, appealing clothing that is neither dated nor slutty. If you have skin issues, see a dermatologist. Self-confidence is not only a must, it is attractive, too.

Be yourself!
People will be able to tell if you aren't being genuine. If you want to re-make your image, do it for your own reasons, NOT for getting a boyfriend. For that matter...any boyfriend who is a friend won't be pressuring you for any activity or reward in spending time with him. He will like being with you just for you being you.

There's no magic formula, but it helps to look your best. I'm not talking about plastic surgery. Try to maintain a reasonable weight. Eat healthy foods like fruits, veggies, fish, lean meat, whole grains. Dress neatly. Get the hairstyle that makes you look your best (your hairdresser might be able to help you here). It would be great if looks did not matter at all, but the massively obese ppl do not become the sucessful actors and the anchor for the evening news looks at least ok if not really great. Both men and women are judged by their looks so ppl should try to be at least ok looking. If you are in school, talk to the guys in your classes. If you go to church, you can meet guys in Sunday school more easily than in the church service. Many churches have activities for singles. Be friends with guys and one of them might end up as your bf.
