Non calcified soft tissue nodular right middle love favoring a grannuloma and a small sliding hiatal hernia also noted.
ok i know what a hiatal hernial is. This also said in the finding that there is invasion into the anterior mediastinal fat...please let me know if any of you know this stuff what exacly its all saying here ok? Thanks so much Also let me know if its saying that the cancer is in the mediiastinal wall? and if so do you guys think that this is operable?

There is a mass in the upper front of the lobe that may be cancerous ... The lymph node is on the big side of normal ... (that may be the normal condition, or it might be fighting an infection or dealing with abnormal functions). Then there is some granular soft tissue, maybe like some little tiny soft tumors or lumps (maybe no big deal) and the hernia that you understand.
FYI: Metastatic means pertaining to the movement of bacteria or body cells ... often used to describe the spread of cancer from the origin in the body to other places.
It doesn't say exactly where the mass is, but they should be able to operate. They can remove a lobe of the lung even, not that you need it, but there are options.
Talk to an oncologist (cancer doctor) or surgeon that operates regularly in the chest cavity. See about getting a biopsy. They will take a sample and send it to a pathologist who and look to see if it is cancerous.
Also, the non-calcified soft tissue may mean that the tissue is still soft or not so dense. I worked for a surgeon for a little while, and breast cancer was typically hard rock-like lumps, though sometimes they were cyst filled with off-colored fluids. Non-calcified may be a good thing.

yes, it is operable, but still, the CT scan result is not yet definitive. if you are a smoker, stop now. consult your doctor to do some more tests to see if it is really cancer. other options include chemotherapy and radiotherapy. at this time, don't panic. keep yourself healthy by exercise and eating a balanced diet. this way, your body will develop a better resistance and you will eventually help your body fight cancer. think positive, even cancer can be fought!

when they tell you nothing to eat or drink after midnight, you should strongly obey that. depending on your body and how it takes different procedures you might get sick. or just as the person before me said, a ct scan shows alot more than just what you think. it all depends on what they are trying to see.
