for the crest whitening stuff, i got a lot of questions?

1. what's the max limit for how many u can wear a day
2. can u swallow the spit that builds up from having it in your mouth
3. if u use the whole thing back to back in one day til the kit finishes, will ur teeth be whiter and/or experience an side effects?

Here are some more facts for you that may not have been covered by the other repliers.

1. The reason the box suggests a max limit of 4 per day (2 on top / 2 on bottom) isnt just for temporary sensitivity but because it uses Hydrogen Peroxide the one thing dental places forget to tell you is that in high does it "damages" enamel.
2. Yes you can swallow but it tastes bad. The hydrogen peroxide has been neutrilized at that point and if swallowed wont cause any stinging (or whitening) on the way down.
3. If you used the entire box i wouldn't see why it woudln't make your teeth whiter but oh boy are your teeth going to suffer concequences -- you get more cavities in the long run.

Even though most people dont say this i stronglyt recommend you brush your teeth (or even better, get a Fluroide rinse) after using the crest whitestrips. By using hydrogen peroxide it starts to tear at your enamel which in essense leaves your teeth open up to being attacked by cavities much easier. Sure its great you have a whiter smile but you get a larger dental bill of cavity repairs. So just brush your teeth with good toothpaste like the Colgate Total brand (dont use cheap *** toothpaste becasue they have nothing in them) after using the strips. I dont recommend you use then entire box though.

Dental offices use Carbimide Peroxide for whitening. Carmimide breaks down to hydrogen peroxide and urine (yes, PEE) in your mouth. What is unique about the in-office whitening besides costing alot more is that they use higher amounts of hydrogen perxoide (as provided by the carbimide) -- in the order of 16% -- which can whiten your teeth alot more BUT they also create a custom tray where the peroxide can sit and soak in (a much better method than strips)....They will also provide the customer with a fluroide rinse because they know the peroxide messes with their enamel.

2. you can swallow, but I wouldn't recommend it. It probably tastes terrible and it has chemicals in it. They probably won't hurt you, but they sure won't do you any good.
3. You probably won't get much of an effect if you use the whole box in a day. I'm sure that there's some "saturation" point where you teeth will take in all the chemicals that they can and need a breather. Increased sensitivity (temporarily) in your teeth is one of the side effects of using the strips.

I acquired the as soon as an afternoon 30 min strips (14 days) and i would say it took approximately five days to begin to become aware of a change. Yes, they do paintings very good. They final relying on the way you care for your enamel. If you drink espresso - smoke - and so forth then your enamel can grow to be tinted faster. Keep up with the brushing and they may be able to final a number of months. Well valued at the acquisition. Check out on-line for a few coupons.

Use any of these over the counter teeth whiteners with peroxide for too long or too often and your teeth will take on an ugly bluish cast. It's really scummy and hideous looking. I've seen it.

You use it to make your teeth white and bright, but if you use it too often they look really, really dirty and gray blue. Oh, and it's permanent so the only way to cover it is to have all your teeth veneered!!

You can wear them twice a day, yes you can swallow the spit, I would not reccomend using them all in all day
