No, it actually makes it easier to lose weight. It's a mild appetite suppressant, and more than that, it's what I'd call a "craving suppressant." The same drug is marketed under a different name (I forget the name) and is prescribed to people to help them quit smoking--it eases the cravings. Last I heard (2003) they were talking about prescribing wellbutrin to people who needed to lose weight. I don't know if it's been approved for that purpose, but hey!

No it doesn't. It makes it easier to loose weight, but its like you've drank several cups of coffee--you feel real shakey. I got off this medication because that side-effect got worse and worse for me.

Likelihood is you're eating too fast. Try holding a conversation while sporting a meal so you're not really gulping down more than you should feel full.

actually i believe it does not and actually may result in slight weight loss. the SSRI's like lexapro have some weight gain side effects. wellbutrin can give you the jitters though. it is a great smoking cessation drug.

I used to take Wellbutrin SR and from all the research I did, I found out that it should HELP you lose weight and curb your appetite. I had to quit taking it because after the first week my hands, ears, scalp, and feet became severely itchy and I got hives around my eyes. Be careful with that stuff.

Identify the emotional triggers that make you seek unhealthy comfort food. Picture your goal weight the very next time a trigger strikes to allow you to resist temptation.
