You will have to provide information on what type of connection you are using to connect.

If the connection is a dial-up, then its obvious for the lime wire to show the bars like that.

If the connection is a broadband, Check for firewalls, and for the connection reliability.

Check your speed at http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest

Calculate if your speed is correct.

that happens to me sometimes too. its usually when im running another program that is connected to the internet. it doesnt happen when i use my mozilla, but mainly when i am also downloading music from bittorrent (which is excellent and far superior than limewire if you want to download movies, tv shows, programs, or entire cds). i just quit bittorrent, disconnect from limewire, and then reconnect. i would check to see if you're running too many programs, or check your internet connection strength. if you're using wireless (which i have for my comp), it might be kinda screwy like mine is. sometimes it has a high connection and sometimes there's barely any. i hope that helped even though i dont have a real answer for you. also try toying around with it, i learn a lot about my computer just from experimenting.

I hope your downloading legal software while your on limewire if not you can be in real trouble downloading illegal copyrighted software eg music, video's and software can cost you dearly,

catch up with the news on pirated music videos and software, find out how many people are being caught every week and what it has cost them in fines and jail time
