It's cool when a guy can play the guitar, but not if he writes a song for his girl. I think that's either one of the following two: creepy or cheesy. Also, don't play the guitar just to impress. Play because it's just what you love doing. Side not: I think playing the bass is coolest. Don't know why. :P

Yeah, most do. I was an average looking guy with no talents. The girls wouldn't even look at me back then. After I learned how to play the guitar I looked 10 times better and all the girls chased me around every where I went and I wasnt even wear Axe Body Spray. Definately, the guitar is awesomeness.

I play acoustic/electric guitar, and a 5 string bass, and my girlfriend thinks its pretty sexy....
BUT BE WARNED!!
I play beautiful acoustic arpeggios, and beautiful melodies, But I am a true metalhead at heart, i love all kinds of extreme metal, or any music that is TRULY good. But if you are going to play some emo bullshit, or ******* rock as i like to call it; ESPECIALLY just to get into some chick's pants because that's the lowest **** i ever heard man.
But girls do like guys that play guitar, as long as you're playing it for your own musical enjoyment and to increase your talent...
So play the guitar if you do, but don't do it with the intention of seducing a girl, because you'll **** yourself over in the end.

All girls like different things, so there are definitely some girls who are attracted to guitar players, and some who aren't. If you enjoy playing guitar and find a girl who likes it too, then that's great thing to share in common. Don't pretend to enjoy it or just learn to play to impress girls; it's just not worth it! Find someone who likes you for you.

i love guys that play guitar, i play and my my best friend used to and helped me ALL the time, its so fun and a good way to get ur emotions out

Sure. I know two guys it worked for- one only learned the first half of one song, because thats as far as he ever had to play, and the other nicknamed his gituar 'the panty-dropper'. Good luck!
